He or she or dares to teach must never cease to learn.
Background
Background
I was one of those kids who knew from an early age that I wanted to be a teacher. I was inspired by my 3rd grade teacher, Mr. Petersen, and have been pursuing this goal of mine since that young, crisp age of 9.
I graduated from Placer High School in 2004 and begin studying for my Associates Degree in Liberal Studies at Sierra College. I received my degree from Sierra in 2006 and transferred to California State University, Sacramento where I began my Bachelor of Arts Degree in English.
I graduated Cum Laude from CSUS in 2008 and began the credential program at CSUS right after. I completed my student teaching in the San Juan Unified School District and in 2010 received my Preliminary Single-Subject Credential.
In May of 2013, I completed the required BTSA program and received a California Clear Single Subject Credential in English. But, I couldn't let that stop me from continuing my education.
In January of 2013, I began my Masters of Arts program in English at National University. I truly love to learn and build knowledge and am grateful for the opportunities provided me to do so. I received my Master of Arts in May of 2014.
