Welcome to Victory High School!

RECOGNIZED AS A MODEL CONTINUATION SCHOOL & WASC ACCREDITED

Principal's Message

Dear Victory Family,

I am truly honored to have been selected as the principal for Victory High School (VHS) and the Rocklin Alternative Education Center. Victory High School is a California Model School and recently received a six-year accreditation term from WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges). We are very proud of these accomplishments as it means that we are providing our students an effective and supportive educational environment. Here at VHS, every student has a chance to learn and succeed and leaves us with the tools necessary to be college and career ready. Our school motto "motivate, educate, graduate" helps to guide the efforts of the entire Victory family in providing our students with a rigorous, supportive environment where students can feel safe and welcome. Most importantly, VHS is a place our students can thrive!

My family has lived in Rocklin for almost twenty years and my wife and I have put two sons through the Rocklin Unified school system, from Kindergarten through high school graduation at Rocklin High. My education consists of a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies and a Master of Arts Degree in History from CSU Chico. I earned my teaching credential in Special Education from Chapman University and have almost completed the coursework for a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Brandman University. I spent my teaching career at Yuba City High School as a Resource Specialist, where it became evident to me that all students were capable of meeting their potential, regardless of disability, behavior or parental support. I have been an administrator with River City High School the past two years and was responsible for overseeing the Special Education, Physical Education and Career Technical Education Departments.

I have spent my career working with alternative education and cannot wait to get started on this important work at Victory High School. While we realize that not every student fits into the comprehensive high school mold, using a model of individualized education plans, an emphasis on high quality instruction, smaller class size, skills training and counseling, VHS students are prepared to meet the challenges of the future. Graduates of VHS leave with the skills and education necessary to enroll in colleges, trade schools, and the armed forces. We take pride in who our students are and eagerly embrace their bright futures. I look forward to a fantastic year and again, I am extremely excited to work with you all! Go Panthers!

Sincerely,

Wayne Hauptman
